Professor Lehman is an internationally recognized  scholar who undertakes cross-disciplinary research in urbanism, green architecture, material culture, public space and urban cultures. He is a thought leader in the field of sustainable buildings, urban development principles and our complex relationship with nature and place. His research projects are architecture/ urban planning/ construction/ design based, concerned with the integration of low-carbon technologies in the social and behavioral context.  His research group develops solutions for resilient built environments and a better understanding of urban microclimates and complex urban systems; rethinking urban models and infrastructure; identity and place.
