Tjipta Niaga and Photography: Acquisition As A Renewal Strategy of Spatial Identity

Stella Ajeng - Final Project Interior Architecture - Undergraduate Program

Abandoned building is an amazing form of aging architecture. Their characteristics and origin give a peculiar soul and ephemeral beauty. Sadly their reforming nowadays is making their origin laid forgotten. In this final project, the origin, soul and beauty that was formed in ages by the nature, are being reserved side by side with the new function. Acquisition (as we often found in abandoned building when nature takes claim of what once was theirs) is one of a renewalstrategy of abandoned building’s spatial identity. And here Tjipta Niaga is designed to be acquired by photography activity, while acquired by nature naturally.
