Yasyfina Aflah Widyarini, Alfira Kurniawati, and Shafira Izzatunnisa, students from the Department of Architecture (2019 batch) Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia, won 2nd place out of 216 participants in the International Competition: Yearning to Breathe 2022. Beeophile is an innovative modular housing designed in the form of a hexagon with a biophilia concept. The concept offers a solution to reconnect urban residents with nature. Besides introducing a new type of shop-house typology with a parasitic structure that brings nature into the living space, the project also utilizes the roof of the shop-house as a communal space for social interaction. This project is under the supervision of Prof. Ir. Evawani Ellisa, M.Eng., Ph.D., licensed architect Baiq Lisa Wahyulina, S.T., M.Ars. IAI., and assistant lecturer Aulia Urrohmah, S.Ars.
