The Tensile Farm is based on watering issue in the region of West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. As the scenario of the project, a catastrophic rain of meteor hit Indonesia and led to a scarce of food and water. As the people, evacuated they came up on an unoccupied Island around West Nusa Tenggara. The area has a tropical climate with a hot temperature and less rain in a year. In order to survive, a system must be developed to save water and produce enough food. The grape farm is based on the drip watering system with an efficient use of water. The form comes from the need of shelter, and bamboo was used as the material because it is a local material and handles high tension well.
