Christopher Silver

He is one of the Professor on Department of Urban and Regional Planning, as well as the former Dean of College of Design, Construction and Planning, University of Florida. Silver got his PhD from University of North Carolina on 1981, and completed his Master of Urban & Regional Planning at Virginia Commonwealth University and Master of Arts from University of North Carolina.

Since 1989, he has been researching, teaching, collaborating and consulting in urban planning and development, governance issues and most recently sustainability in Southeast Asia, largely in Indonesia, but with other regional engagements (including Singapore, Malaysia. Thailand, and Cambodia). This includes projects on decentralization, urban/regional finance, urban management and green infrastructure funded through USAID and the US Department of State.
