Delegates from Department of Architecture, Universitas Indonesia represented Indonesia in Asian Congress of Architecture (ACA17) which held in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. The congress gathered several architecture student association in membership of ARCASIA. This event held in different countries each year since 1981, as a platform of discussion regarding architectural issues.
IAI (Ikatan Arsitektur Indonesia) attended this event along with architecture associations around Asia. This congress has several objectives, for instance are to gather architects around Asia and maintain relations among them, also to develop architecture education around the world.
This year congress theme is “Growth and Diversity: The Green Age of Asia”. Delegates from Universitas Indonesia are: Prisca Winata (A’13), Nadia Amira (A’13), Lissa Lopes (AI’13), Vebriyanti (A’13), and Khisna (A’13).
On the 17th congress, the representatives discussed about the world terrible pollution, the lack of green areas in big cities and the development of green area using environment-friendly materials.
Kanigara (A’12), Nisrina Muthi (A’12), Lissa Lopes (AI’13) and Nadia Amira (A’13), architecture undergraduates student of Universitas Indonesia also participated in the competition, their design achieved Top 20 best design.
